for your event
FAQs
What kind of events do you do?
We've done everything from casual backyard birthdays to high-volume college games and corporate blowouts. If it involves people and sunshine, chances are it’s better with shave ice.
What’s the difference between retail and catering events?
Retail Events: Guests pay for their own servings. These are typically larger-scale events like festivals or fairs. We require either a high expected turnout or a guaranteed sales minimum to book these.
Catering Events: You (the host) pay upfront for a set number of servings. Great for private or semi-private events. We’ll help you pick flavors, suggest a menu, and can even collaborate on a custom creation if you want something unique.
Is there a minimum to book?
Yes, but it varies depending on the type of event (retail vs. catering), location, time of year, expected attendance, etc.
We're not playing coy—these factors actually affect staffing and travel costs. We’ll give you a straight answer once we get the details.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you can. Especially for weekends and warm-weather months. We get booked fast. That said, if your event is coming up soon, reach out anyway. We’ve pulled off some tight turnarounds before.
How do I get a quote?
Scroll up and shoot us a message with your event info. No pressure, no hard sell. Just the facts (and some flavors).
What are your payment and refund policies?
Catering:
Full payment is due two weeks before the event. We'll lock in your event when we receive payment. Need to cancel anytime before that? Full Refund. Need to cancel within two weeks? Refunds are at our discretion, but we try to be fair—life happens.
Retail events work differently. We’ll talk minimums and expectations when you reach out.
What happens if it rains?
Welcome to Florida. We include weather contingencies and Force Majeure in our catering contracts. If rain or natural disasters interfere, we’ll work with you in good faith to reschedule or find a solution.
What do you need from us on-site?
We bring our own power and water and serve from a fully licensed food trailer. We just need: A level 10’ x 25’ space to park & safe and accessible access for setup and exit. No hookups, no surprises.
Are you licensed and insured?
Absolutely. Ono Ice Co. is: licensed by the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, fully insured with active general liability insurance, and able to provide a Certificate of Insurance with additional insured on request
Can you serve large crowds?
We live for it. We can scale up staff, streamline the menu, and serve hundreds of people in under two hours. We’ve done corporate events, athletic programs, and more. Efficiency is kind of our thing.
What if we go over the number of servings we booked?
We’ll keep the ice flowing as long as you want—but any servings beyond what’s in the original agreement will be charged at the per-serving rate. Want a hard cap? Just let us know.
